May 2002 Update

School Sports

The School Sports were held again at Holmston House on Wednesday 22 May.

No pictures this year, but the House results were -

Craigie - 1st, 277 points ******

Castlehill - 2nd, 240 points

Greenan - 3rd, 208 points

Belmont - 4th, 123 points

The Championship Boy was Steven Coubrough, Championship Girl, Sarah McClurkin.

Parents' Room

As part of a Government initiative to support parents, Holmston will open the library area as a Parents' Room on Monday and Friday afternoons from 1.30 to 3 pm.

During these afternoons parents can come along to the school and meet other Holmston parents over coffee. On some occasions Parent Workshops and Information Sessions may be offered and there will be opportunities to meet members of our PTA, School Board and other agencies associated with the school.

The first Parents' Afternoon will be on Friday 7th June 2002, and the library will be open to parents from 1.30 pm.
