March 2002 Update

Internet and the Computer Room

The Internet finally arrived at Holmston in February, with a network connection which lets children reach the Internet using our small number of modern PCs.

Work has started on a special-purpose computer room, and is progressing slowly. On 21st March, there was scaffolding (right). There have been some minor alterations to the original plan and this is one of the reasons for the delay - an additional working island is to be constructed in the centre of the room. We hope that the room will be ready after the Easter holidays.

There will be space for twenty computers, but we're not sure how many will be delivered.
