More from the Sports...

The School Sports on May 29th were a great success, the best anyone can remember. The weather was good, there were lots of parents to watch, and all the events went smoothly. Medal-winners' photos, below.

This is the second year the sports have been held at the new venue, behind Holmston House just opposite the school.

 Tug of War

The House is now an office for South Ayrshire Council's Social Services department, and a handy sports venue just across the main road, from the school. Thanks again to the staff there who helped to host us for the day.

 House Prize Winners

Holmston, like Hogwarts Academy and other good schools, has a House system and the scores at the sports went towards a House Prize, won by Castlehill House, beating Belmont, Greenan and Craigie. The House Prize is carried in triumph...

 Keeping House Scores

Photo, left, shows the scorers keeping tally of the House points. Former Pupils may be interested to see one of the blocks of new flats built on the site of the old Ayr Hospital. It's not as squint as that in real life, just in our quick photo!
